Using SMTP instead of N-printing

Hi,
Customer wants to send emails from Qlik Sense Enterprise for Windows, and has been using N-printing in a QlikView setup earlier.
I'm trying to exclude N-printing - it's an expensive solution just to send some simple emails with a small table once a week.

However, trying to connect with the SMTP connector to their SMTP-server gives the following error message on all available ports:
With IMPLICIT SSL-mode:
"Error connecting to SMTP server (Handshake failed due to: ProtocolVersion)"

Explicit SSL will give the following error:
"Error connecting to SMTP server (Unable to perform revocation check of the server certificate.)"

I'm not sure where the problem is or what it actually means - if someone has done this before?

Cheers

Jörgen

Thanks for your answer, but it doesn't really apply to my situation 🙂

I don't think the SMTP connector will be able to do that, its used for sending notifications of when a reload has been completed etc.

Perhaps another user has figured out another work-around though, lets see if anyone else replies as well!

Well currently I can't do anything anyway, since I can't get a connection to the SMTP server.... 🙂

Hi @SweJoCa

Hope you managed to get SMTP working. It sounds like a SMTP problem rather than a Qlik one.

If you did, you might find this post interesting on how you might build the messages to send:
