Can't get all services to start

I understand there's a sequence in which to start the services, I've followed this but still get failures, regardless of delaying services starts etc.

Is there a standard start/stop/restart script that can be used to make this easier. Have tried using powershell to automate this but still getting starting errors.

many thanks.

Alex

For QlikView the order is usually not that important. What errors are you getting?

The most common error we see is discussed in this article

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Knowledge/Error-1067-when-starting-QlikView-services/ta-p/1710924

If you are talking about QlikSense, there is an example here

thanks for your reply Maria,

Yes it is QlikSense, have tried the scripts on the link you mentioned, and still some of the services don't start.

Am getting this error in the service log

2 20211214T104555.358+0000 localhost 1.20.1 Global ERROR Exception: Error: EPERM: operation not permitted, stat 'C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Repository\Exported Certificates\.Local Certificates\client.pem'

I will move this to the QlikSense board instead, so you reach the right audience.

I have some more questions about this. It is important that we fully understand the question.

Is it always the same services that does not start?
Or does all the services start correctly some times?
What error is logged in the Windows logs?

The error in the logs seems to have to do with the certificate.
Is this a single or multi node set up?

Have you changed the service account user for the Qlik Sense services? And if so, have you gone throught the help on how to do this?

Hi Maira,

Yes we've recently moved to using service accounts for the Qlik services and we still have a standard login account for the server. What help are you referring to? the accounts have been setup with what we believe to be the necessary access. is it possible that we need to reissue the certificate?

Many thanks for your replies thus far.

Alex

If you have switched service account there are several steps you have to do, for example, give the service user rights to the certificates. Please go through the steps in the help.
