Hi All,
Production node was central node for few months as you can see below.
Name | Hostname | Centralnode |
Development | Development.domain | No |
Production1 | Production1.domain | No |
Production | Production.domain | Yes |
All of a sudden, Production1 node becomes central node
Name | Hostname | Centralnode |
Development | Development.domain | No |
Production1 | Production1.domain | Yes |
Production | Production.domain | No |
Can some one please let me know what could have made that switch to happen?
Appreciate your help
Thanks
This is because you might have made the Production1.domain a failover node, meaning that if the central node services are stopped for a certain time, then the failover node becomes the central node.
Check this.

Thank you for the information.
Hi Kaushik - Do you know if there is a way to bring Production 1 node as central node?
Thanks
Make it Failover Node and then Stop the services of current Central node for 10 min.
Ugly way but it works. 🙂
Thank you Kaushik and that is a good work around. Thanks for that idea.
Do you think even with out changing manually, that is fine? My only concern would be the monitoring apps because connections to the monitoring app are based on the central node and logs that are on the central node.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Currently I dont see a way to make them work when the node changes their role.
