Hi all,
I want to disable the Edit button when the user browsing Qlik Sense, from the Demo site, when I login as anonymous, so it was disabled.
Is there any other way that I can disable the Edit button like using security rules or access control?
Thanks!
Seems like the camera button on the toolbar is wired with the Edit button given that you can right click and take a snapshot, but the camera above disappears. I recommend opening a case with support including screenshots of the camera not in the toolbar but ability to right click and take along with the rules you have implemented. In my opinion, from what you have described I think the camera disappearing is not supposed to happen.

Thanks Jeff. I will definitely open a case with support.

Did you achieve this?

Hi Paddy,
Did you achieve this functionality ?
Thanks
I have created a security rule that would disable the Edit Button for published app that had a Consumer role. Since I enable this rule, it does work; however, the users are no longer to create bookmarks. Is there a way to modify the existing security rule to allow the user to create a bookmark, but sill not allow them to see the Edit Button?
App Object_* with read as the permission
!resource.App.stream.Empty() and resource.App.HasPrivilege("read") and (resource.objectType = "userstate" or resource.objectType = "sheet" or resource.objectType = "story" or resource.objectType = "bookmark" or resource.objectType = "snapshot" or resource.objectType = "embeddedsnapshot" or resource.objectType = "hiddenbookmark") and !user.IsAnonymous() and resourceapp.UserType="Consumer"
Please provide some assistance in this area. By the way, our environment using Qlik Sense in a mult-node environment.
