Load Balance users to a specific Node

If i have a custom property for users and nodes (Region= EMEA or NA or isblank), what is the best way to send EMEA users to EMEA nodes only, NA to NA only, and no property defined to ANY available node?

We are going to be locating some AWS servers in our cluster closer to the end users, and we need to direct them to the correct nodes.

We also need to make sure that those nodes are only used for user access and content consumption. I have a separate property of NodePurpose = Reload, Access, Central that i want to use to set up which apps do what.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @jheasley

We have some articles that might help:

Load Balancing Rules: Have only specified streams/apps to be available on a dedicated node

How to dedicate a Qlik Sense RIM node to a particular application (APP)

Kind Regards.

@NadiaB  these articles are around apps.  I dont need to restrict app availability, i need to direct a user to a specific node.  all apps can be on all nodes.

Hi @jheasley

Have you tried to customize the security rules according to the specific needs?

I went with creating a new virtual proxy.  since my servers for the EMEA group are access only, no reloads or development, i dont need special load balancing rules on them.
