Can someone clarify the 3 ways which cause the log files to be archived?
My understanding is the log files are archived:
- On a service restart
- If the file is reaching 8MB
- If the file is older than 12 hours
Does this mean if ANY one of Qlik services are restarted? E.g. if I restart the Printing service, it will archive all log files?
For 8MB rule, does it mean if the log file is going to exceep 8MB it archives it? Does it mean if a log file is split into two or more? Let's say a reload log file is big for an app, and it is going to exceed 8MB, does it start splitting the log into 8MB x number of files needed for the log? Or does it mean it automatically moves it to the archive folder and continues writing the log file there for the app so there is only one file?
