Performance increase for dedicated Postgresql

Hi,

As we implemented a dedicated server for our Postgresql, is there  a performance drop or increase. We recently changed our servers as part of windows EOSL. Even after our configurations are same we see most of our tasks are taking   more than on the previous server. Wondering what could be the reason for this.

Do you mean the PostgreSQL as the metadata repository or data extraction?

Thanks Clever_Anjos.

PostgreSQL as repository

This shouldn´t impact that much (considering the PostgreSQL is in the same LAN/VLAN).

"taking  more than on the previous server" how much time was added?

Hi,

I would except the above sample reload time is sufficient enough to understand the problem. Please let us know if you need anything more on this. Thanks

Could you please check the app size for every task?

It´s odd that some tasks are consuming pretty the same time and other are taking much longer

Did you move the shared folder to another machine as well?

Besides tasks #1 and #2 now you are having pretty similar times, right?

Why the old_task reload time is so different your two tables? (today and tuesday)

We have almost 50 tasks which shows a difference in time, so as a sample I just included 10 tasks.

Task #1 was completing it's reload with 16 seconds (QlikView), whereas  the new QlikSense has a reload time of  9 minutes, 2 seconds.

Please ignore the difference between tuesday and today, as I have considered different task for the fist task mentioned in the table
