For DR, it can be Hot or Cold stand by.

Cold stand by:

Qlik Sense license keys can be installed on as many servers as required for backup or disaster recovery purposes. However, no more than the licensed quantity of Software may be running at any given time. Thus, a cold standby environment can be installed and ready to run, but cannot be live (that is, the Windows services cannot be started) and in use prior to the live environment being shut down.

QSE license options include Professional and Analyzer Users or CPU cores.

Multiple Deployment Sites

Production Site

A Qlik Sense server deployment can include both a development node and a production node supported by one (1) LEF. If there is a need to separate the production node from the development node, two (2) LEF's (or one per Qlik Sense site) would be required.

Test Site

A Qlik Sense Test Site provides an environment separate from production to use for data validation and testing purposes, including user acceptance, load testing, and new versions and/or releases. A Qlik Test Site may not be used in production. Tokens for a Test Site are

purchased separately from the Production Site. If a Test Site is purchased with production capacity, the Test Site will mirror the production capacity at the time of purchase of the Test Site.

Development Site

A Qlik Sense Development Site provides an environment separate from production to use for development prior to testing. A Qlik Development Site may not be used in production. Tokens for a Development Site are purchased separately from the Production Site. If a Development Site is purchased with production capacity, the Development Site will mirror the production capacity at the time of purchase of the Development Site.

I do not fully understand your message.

one serial key - one cluster.

There is also no limit to the number of nodes in the cluster. Even if you have one token.

Hi,

As per Qlik help site, max 12 Node in QS cluster. Under  "Capacity and performance"

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/June2018/Subsystems/PlanningQlikSenseDeployments/Content/Deploymen...

For Mutiple environment/Deployment Sites:

https://www.qlik.com/us/-/media/files/legal/license%20agreements/qlik%20sense/qlik-sense-license-met...

As per the doc, there are only Prod, Test, and Dev site license types are there.

So i want to know, is there any license related to DR, available from Qlik site or we need to purchase seperate Prod site license.

DR: If prod site fail for any reason, then DR will work as Prod Site for users until Prod site not up

I have one serial number or license key, need to configure 3 servers  i.e.

  1. development
  2. production, and
  3. testing

using the same serial no. for production and testing, it's working fine. Can I use the same serial no. or license key for setting up a testing server.

I set up the multi-node installation creating a development server as a rim node and testing as a central node.

My query is if the central node server gets crashed, will my rim node server work or not. As per my knowledge, it will get crashed as the QMC is same .

Kindly help.
