Qlik Sense Service Dispatcher

A few days ago our Qlik Server host crashed and when trying to restart services there is an error regarding the Qlik Sense Service Dispatcher. The error states "The description for Event ID 300 from source Qlik Sense Service Dispatcher cannot be found. Either the component that raises the event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer."

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

This error message suggests that either the component responsible for raising the event is not installed correctly or the installation is corrupted.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

  1. Check Service Dependencies: Ensure that all necessary services on which the Qlik Sense Service Dispatcher depends are running correctly. This includes services such as the Qlik Sense Engine Service, Qlik Sense Repository Service, and others. If any of these services are not running or encountering errors, address those issues first.

  2. Verify Installation: Confirm that the Qlik Sense installation is intact and not corrupted. You can do this by running the Qlik Sense installer again and selecting the repair option. This will attempt to fix any corrupted or missing components of the installation.

  3. Review Event Logs: Investigate the Windows Event Viewer logs for more detailed information about the error. Look for any additional error messages or events related to the Qlik Sense Service Dispatcher that might provide clues about the root cause of the issue.

  4. Restart Services: Try restarting the Qlik Sense services again after ensuring that all dependencies are met and the installation is intact. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve issues related to service startup.

  5. Check Disk Space and Permissions: Ensure that there is sufficient disk space available on the server hosting Qlik Sense, and verify that the account running the Qlik Sense services has appropriate permissions to access the necessary files and directories.

  6. Contact Qlik Support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, consider reaching out to Qlik support for further assistance. They can provide specialized guidance and troubleshooting steps tailored to your specific environment and configuration.

Thank you for your response. I have gone through the steps you recommended but no luck unfortunately. I've escalated the issue to Qlik consultants for assistance.
