Qlik Sense Sever: can't open imported App. Error "Invalid Version: null"

Good day,

Following below link by @Andre_Sostizzo to import apps from environment to another:

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Knowledge/How-to-backup-migrate-move-re-import-community-and-personal/...

All went well, I can see the App Objects under QMC. However, when I tried to open the imported app, I receive error below:

Invalid Version: null

Any Idea?

Hi @mahmed63 ,

Open the QVF in Qlik sense desktop and make some changes in script editor and save the changes,

then import in QMC then open app in hub and see if you still have errors.

Hi,

As mentioned by @Ranganath_DR, usually opening the app in QS desktop, make a minor change and save it should solve most of the issues.
If the app is too large, it would be recommended to try to open it without data.
Here is an article showing several steps to troubleshoot app corruption:

Hi @mahmed63  This should be a defect in Qlik Sense May 21. The fix in in patch 9. Please see https://community.qlik.com/t5/Release-Notes/Qlik-Sense-Enterprise-on-Windows-May-2021-IR-to-Patch-9/...

QB-6320 Not possible to restore an application with Qlik Sense May 2021 If an app is missing version number when it is opened, we add the latest engine version number to it.

Hello,
Is there any other option than opening app in QS Desktop?? I have an app which is too big (about 6 GB) and I can not open it in Desktop, but there is the same problem (Error "Invalid Version: null") with opening it in QS Enterprise.
Maybe there is something else I can do to repair this issue??

Hi Alexis

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately it's a customers' system where I can't just install anything.

But: Is there any way to download Qlik Sense Desktop these days? I've tried a few months ago and it was not possible anymore. Furthermore currently I don't reach the Qlik download-page, the only thing I can do is register for a qlik sense on cloud trail account, click on login (as I've a login for several years already) does just lead me to the same trail-register page.

Thanks in advance for any hints.

Best regards

Hi @daniel_ax
Qlik Sense desktop installer is available from https://demo.qlik.com/download/
