Hi
I am trying to setup Qlik Sense using the the version availabel on the AWS market place (available here)
The EC2 instance is on a private cloud in AWS that has a VPN connection to the company's local network. The instance itself does not have a connection to the internet.
When using the remote desktop to acces the EC2 instance, the setup script starts up and asks for a username and several passwords. It then proceeds with the setup but then fails to start the Qlik Sense services:
The error message is not very informative as to what is wrong.
Anyone experienced this?
Hi,
Did you try starting from Windows Services? Also the logs can help understand what may be causing the services to fail.

Hi
Attached is the "ArchivedLogs" from "C:/Qlik Sense Storage".
Hope this helps.
Did you hostname change? Logs are showing the name ip-172-25-0-98.eu-west-1.compute.internal "The remote name could not be resolved"
Can the name be pinged from Qlik server?
Hi
Thanks for the quick response.
The hostname is the same. It is a fresh setup of Qlik Sense available on the AWS marketplace on a local network (vpn on the cloud in this case).
@rgovaertsNothing much i can suggest apart from trying to add entry in the host file and point the name ip-172-25-0-98.eu-west-1.compute.internal to appropriate IP which is reachable from Qlik server.
