Qlik Sense version control mechanism used

Is there any possible way to maintain a version control mechanism in Qlik sense. Our client has two servers such as "Production" & "Testing".

our client develops any app's on the testing server. and once it is developed they migrate it to Production server.  During this stage we normally maintain a copy of the app on the testing server.

Is there any proper  and easier way to implement a version control mechanism other than above one scenario.

This may be a good starting point in your research https://support.qlik.com/articles/000085745

There are multiple version control solution available. You just need to find which one is best according to your requirements and process workflow.

Hope this helps!

Hi all,

I've created a CLI tool called BIForm aimed at improving Qlik Sense BI application management via version control like Git. It can help you:

  1. Seamlessly track and manage changes to your apps.
  2. Easily revert to previous versions of your applications.
  3. Collaborate with team members through a clear change history.

BIForm also supports functionalities such as pulling the latest changes and applying them to multiple apps at once, significantly improving the update management across your BI applications.

As an open-source project, your insights and contributions to BIForm are highly appreciated. You can find more details, contribute or provide feedback through the project's GitHub repository: [link to GitHub repository].

I highly recommend checking out the Soterre + Gitoqlok combination. It's a zero-touch version control tool that streamlines your development workflow.
