Our environment calls for separation of app servers and web servers so when it came time to build out the Qlik Sense environment our approach was to create an IIS web server that does an URL rewrite to the Qlik Sense app server and open the necessary ports. After configuring the systems we received 502 errors when navigating to the FQDN. The recommendation was to change the virtual proxy authentication pattern from 'windows' to 'form'. However that didn't quite solve the puzzle as the page would come up blank. In addition to updating the authentication pattern on the the vp, the IIS rewrite pattern also had to be updated to '/form/'. I hope this helps others struggling with the configuration.
