QlikSense How To Limit RAM

Hello Folks,

I'm looking into limiting the RAM used by a QlikSense installation.  I see this documentation here mentioning SetProcessWorkingSetSizeEx.

However, I don't see any way of how to use it in conjunction with a QlikSense install.  How do I make use of the SetProcessWorkingSetSizeEx function to limit RAM consumption?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

You can set RAM max value in the QMC > Engines section.

They say that unless you make an OS level change, the Hard Max Limit isn't as effective.

What's your question? Whether to use Soft Max Limit? Or is it how to configure the OS to allow for Hard Max? The referenced article doesn't seem to show how I can actually do that.

Yeah, that's what I was hoping for, a little guidance on how to actually employ this.
