QlikSense Nov 2018 (Patch 3) release - Security Rules updated

Hi,

Before updating the QS enterprise version we were on April 2018 release. In this release all users with "Root Admin" role were able to see all "Apps" under Personal -- > Work area even if they haven't created/owner of the application.

Now once we upgraded to QS Nov 2018 (patch3) release the users with "Root Admin" role are only able to see "Apps" that they had created. How do we make sure that "Root Admin" can see all "Apps" irrespective of who is the owner and/or who created it in the "Work" area.

Thanks.

H

Hi LeviTurner,

Thanks for the link. As soon as I implement the steps as mentioned in the link:

If you wish to revert to the previous behavior, you need:

  1. To be running November Patch 3, February Patch 1 or Qlik Sense April 2019 or later
  2. Open C:\Program Files\Qlik\Sense\ServiceDispatcher\services.conf (or the equivalent path if you chose a non-default install location)
  3. Search for [hub.parameters]
  4. In that section add  --enable-non-published-sharing
  5. Restart the Qlik Sense Service Dispatch

Result:
The Qlik Sense HUB URL gives the following error:
Internal Server Error

Thanks,
H

I would then encourage you to contact Qlik Support regarding that configuration change.
