Reload Monitor built in report

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if someone can help me figure out why in the Reload Monitor under Completed Reloads it shows tasks that run on the Central server even though our central is not allowed running any tasks.. (attached screenshot).

We are running a multi server environment and we run most of our tasks on 2 specifc servers, central isn't one of them.

Also, on the screenshot you can see that under Reload Status it shows Error for all lines.. why so ?

One more thing is, that when I searched in QMC for some of the tasks that are shown in the list, I could tell from there that the tasks are running on different server, The correct one. (Not central).

I need help in understaing why the Reload Monitor reoport shows that info and where does it takes it from ? becasue its wrong info.

Thank you!!

Hello @_Adam_ ,

Thanks for posting.

Is there any users opening such apps on the central node and trying to reload them manually on such node and hence they go into failure status?

Cheers,

Albert

Hi @_Adam_

first I would check is the schedulers configuration in the QMC.

you will have a column selector to be able to see column “type” and check which node is manager and which is worker (or slave).

note the worker/slave is the one that should executes the reloads.

then, check if your monitors apps are configured to shows all nodes executions, by default they don’t

Hello Albert & Rafael,

Thank you both for your feedback,

I've checked the QMC schedulers configuration and it seems that our Central is assigned as "Manager" and all the rest of are "Worker".
Because we have a complex environment with almost 11 servers in prod, we created under Custom Properties NodeType for each server, and then we assigned each server the NodeType as we want.
This is our way to control which servers to run tasks, apps, etc..
So this is why we are intresting to figure out why in the report it shows that some tasks tries to run on Central even that he isn't assigned to run any tasks. (at least in our current configuration)

Attached screenshot of the Central NodeType, Could you tell why all the option there are gryed out ?
While on other servers we can checkbox what we need.

Thank you!

Hi @_Adam_

If the assignment of nodes as master and slave is correct, I would focus on checking the custom property and security rule, there must be something wrong there.

Regarding the gray checkbox, that i wouldnt know, but note that the central node its also a scheduler that has to manager the rest of the nodes.

best,

Hello @_Adam_ ,

The options are greyed out as those are mandatory on the central node, hence cannot be modified.

Cheers,

Albert
