Schedule task between specific hours

Hello,

Is it possible to create in sense a task that runs several times (hourly, every x minutes, etc) between specific hours?

This option was available in qlikview publisher triggers (for example when we select Hourly, this option would appear "Run only between [...] and [...])

Thanks.

Hi JP,

Thanks for your email.

Click on the Action function and then edit.

And then in Schedule tab...

Hourly  ----->>   Repeat after Each hours -->> (Include every hour)

                                              ----->>    Minutes ---> (30) --> (Specify the minute(s))

In that way you can schedule the hours you want...

Many Thanks

Karthik

I don't have access now to a sense server but in the trigger there are fields to enter the start and end of a task, can you try to set there a time without a date and check if works as expected?

Hi Karthik,

Thanks for replying.

I'm already using this option to make the task run every 15 minutes.

But my request is to set a daily start/end time for the task executions.

I want it to run let's say every 15 minutes but only between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

Hi Ruben,

Apparently, the date is mandatory.

This could've been a logical solution though.

Hi Ruben

Are you having a desktop version of QlikSense?

Many Thanks

I searched in the community and this post says it's not possible using GUI (at least in 2.0)... but an API can be used.

I don't know how the hours works, in example if you set from 08:00 2016-07-01 to 15:00 9999-12-31 --> I don't know if this will work every day between the specified hours or the start hour it's only for the first time (in 2016-07-01). I think it will deserve a try.

Yeah, tried that too.

I've set an end time with a future date.

The task kept running after that time.

Seems the end time/date specifies when this task won't be executed anymore.

Thanks for mentioning the other post, I'll have a look at it.

Hi Karthikeyan

Yes, I have a desktop version but I don't have a qmc to check.

Regards.
