Server with Persistent Memory (PMEM) for Qlik Sense / QlikView

Hey guys,

does anyone have experience with servers with persistent memory (PMEM)? Can Qlik products handle it and gain advantages in any way?

After many years of using QlikView, we now want to purchase new hardware for a gradual transition to Qlik Sense.

Thanks for some answers and experiences.

Best regards,
Adrian

Specified types are hardware should not be a factor so long as you meet the above system requirements.

Nevertheless, a test bed is always a good best practice to follow before deploying new infrastructure to a PROD environment.

what answers do you want to hear?
QSE CM accesses the disk subsystem through OS calls. And for QSE there will be no difference what HW type of disk it is.

Provide fault tolerance and enough.
QSE uses the disk subsystem only when performing file operations, such as executing a load script.
Keep in mind the QSE has in-memory QIX Engine. QSE performance much releated to RAM and base single core CPU Speed.
