Hi,
We are running into serious OS / file system errors on our central node and need to migrate it to a new VM. Has anyone gone through this before that could provide some insights/thoughts?
Right now our central node has a file share attached to it which is where our QVFs/QVDs are stored. We need to also move this off of the existing central node and to the new VM which we have spun up.
In my mind, the process will look something like this:
1) Attach new node to the existing cluster, designate this to all have the same set of services as the existing central node and designate it as a failover candidate (and remove all the other failover candidates).
2) Stop all the services, and make a backup of the existing share, mount/restore this to the new VM, and use QlikSenseUtil (as described here https://support.qlik.com/articles/000045909)
3) Restart the services, and then take the "old" central node offline (stop the services)
4) Qlik should automatically failover to the "new" central node
5) Restart all the services on all the RIM nodes
6) remove the "old" central node from the environment.
I'd greatly appreciate any thoughts/considerations/potential issues, etc.
Thanks!
DD
