The REST API call timed out between services

I'm trying to import apps via QMC and receiving the error message "The REST API call timed out between services."
It doesn't have to do with the app size. It occurs with different size apps.

Does anyone know how to solve this situation?

We are having this same error with one of our qvf files  while attempting to import and so far have not found any root cause, any workaround, or any solution. (June 2019 Patch 5)

Hello,

A workaround that worked for me :

  1. Create dummy empty app
  2. When importing use "Replace existing app"
  3. Choose app to replace : dummy app
  4. Select "Import without data" : it should succeed
  5. [OPTIONAL] Repeat steps 2, 3, 4 but import WITH data this time : it should succeed
