Upgrade QlikSense from November 2020 to May 2024

Hi All,

We are going to upgrade our Qliksense version November 2020 to May 2024, As we know that November 2020 using Postgres 9.6 so we can not directly upgrade this.

Please suggest me the steps how I can achieve the same. Also, please let me know we have to upgrade Qliksense first or postgres?

Thanks in advance.

I followed the below mentioned steps:

1- Upgraded to Feb 2022 from Nov 2020.

2- Perform sanity check

3- Upgraded Postgres using QPI.

4- Upgraded to May 2024.

5- again performed sanity check.

Hi @sumitk you should first upgrade to Qlik Feb 22 version and then upgrade the PostgreSQl using QPI Tool and then finally Upgrade to Qlik May 24.

Hi @sumitk,

How is your upgrade? Do you mind share your experience? I have the same challenge and my Qlik Nov 2020 is installed on a Win 2012R2 server.

I think I will need to install separately and either migrate the database or export each application and import to the new Qlik May 2024. Any thought or experience on this?

Thank you for any input!
