Upgrading QSR postgres Db to Version 11 from 9.6 for Nov 2019 version

We have Qlik sense enterprise with version Nov 2019. Postgres 9.6 is installed as part of qlik install and we have postgres and Qlik on same machine. Now 9.6 postgres is outdated and we need to upgrade to version 11 which is supported.

Do anyone have detailed steps on how to upgrade local install of postgres from ver 9.6 to Ver 11?

Thanks. But this is not what I require.

We want to upgrade Postgres, one which gets installed by qlik during install. We don’t have a separate instance of Postgres.

since Postgres 9.6 is EOVS qlik has to give a bundle of Nov 2020 version which has 11 version of Postgres. Currently it is still 9.6

Hello Karthik,

You may download from postgresql website as well:

https://www.enterprisedb.com/downloads/postgres-postgresql-downloads

All you need to do is please take full backup of Qlik Sense and Database.

But this will just  install a new instance of Postgres on the server I believe. Currently I don’t see any Postgres under control panel>programs
