Good morning.
I've been tasked with getting Qlik Sense up to date asap.
They're currently working on a Central Node, passive central, 5 rim nodes, a file server and db server (PostgreSQL).
They're all on June 2020 p4! Had their eyes opened by latest CVE-2023-41266
I'd like to get it up to a supported version as soon as possible - I'm thinking August 2022 and latest patch.
I'm aware there's a .NET upgrade upgrade in November 2020. Is it built in to the installer or do I need a separate download? Same goes for the Visual C++ 2019 Distributable Package?
Then I'm aware there's a need to upgrade PostgreSQL after August 2022. It looks as though a third party installed PostgreSQL 11 during Qlik Sense set up. As this is a big dependency, i'd like to leave the DB until we're on a supported version and tackle that afterwards to get up to May 23.
So i'm thinking;
Install Nov 2020 + latest patch
Install August 2022 + latest patch
Would this do the trick?
Many Thanks
Hi @Stoo1892
you got it right
Install Nov 2020 (no patch as it will be uninstalled during next upgrade)
then
Install August 2022 + latest patch
for next version you will need to upgrate postgres after qlik Sense upgrade and there is a software provided by Qlik to do so
but i would suggest on going to may2023
Hope this helps,

Check the compatibility
as i think you are in a very old one, i would suggest for Qlik Sense August 2022 to go to GeoAnalytics February 2023, so you will not need to do it again later.
about Qlik Replicate, i dont see how the version could be a problem, but not sure.
one more thing now that i read it again.
as your postgres is in a dedicated installation, yo cant use the repository upgrade installer provided by Qlik, it is much more simplier.

Thanks @RafaelBarrios
Shocked I've got it right (ish) first time!
Where do we stand with the likes of GeoAnalytics Plus and Qlik Replicate and the like? Do they need to match the version immediately or can we do this in a separate window?
Thanks again!

You've been a great help, @RafaelBarrios
Thank you very much.
Hi @Stoo1892 , I recommend that you upgrade to a later version, since support for August 2022 end in August next year.
