What happens if you have different versions of extensions imported in a Qlik Sense environment?

Hi all,

What happens if you have different versions of extensions imported in a Qlik Sense environment?

E.g. You have Extension1

And 6 months ago you imported Extension1 v1.1.

And recently you imported v1.2.

What happens when there are multiple versions of the extensions?

Does it cause an issue?

Well I would believe the reason of newer versions, is to fix any bugs found and or new feature added. Another possible issue (I doubt in this case) a compatibility issues.

Our challenge is we have multiple business units using the platform so they have extensions at different versions.

We may get requests to import extensions from them so there is likelihood of multiple versions of the extensions.

Wondering what would be the best thing to do.

"We may get requests to import extensions from them so there is likelihood of multiple versions of the extensions." would be good since you may control it, but at the same time, if they are smart to find the extension, then I would suggest to them before uploading the extension to be sure that  they carry the latest version.
