It’s time! In August we announced Qlik Sense Cloud Business will transition to Qlik Sense Business. Now, Qlik Sense Cloud users can begin to migrate content and users to Qlik Sense Business with a Qlik Sense Business Subscription. The video above and attached PDF can guide you through that process.

Qlik Sense Business, Qlik’s newest SaaS offering, brings the power of Qlik’s third-generation analytics platform to groups, teams, and businesses that want to quickly get started operationalizing analytics and making data-driven decisions. All users get unmatched analytical power, with unique associative exploration and search, AI-powered insight suggestions, and app creation and data prep.  Qlik Sense Business is built on the same cloud-native architecture and highly-scalable cloud service as Qlik Sense Enterprise, ensuring the same consistent, seamless, and powerful experience for all users of cloud editions of Qlik Sense.

All Qlik Sense Cloud users (Business and Basic) must migrate their content to Qlik Sense Business by December 15, 2019, or it will be lost.

Here's what you need to know to prepare:

Qlik Sense Cloud Business Customers on Annual Subscriptions

You will receive two emails this week guiding you to set up Qlik Sense Business. The first email will explain the product change and how to set up Qlik Sense Business.  The second email will include a unique link to set up Qlik Sense Business.  Once you complete the set up process, Qlik Sense Business will be automatically configured to the same number of users and renewal date as your existing Qlik Sense Cloud Business subscription.  You can then begin moving content and adding users to complete the migration.

You’ll have access to both Qlik Sense Cloud Business and Qlik Sense Business through December 15, 2019 to ensure ample time to smoothly transition your content and users.

If you didn’t receive your set-up email or the link in the email expired, please log a support case.

Qlik Sense Cloud Business Customers on Month-to-Month Subscriptions and Qlik Sense Cloud Basic Customers

Next month you will receive emails with information about how to sign up for a Qlik Sense Business free trial and a limited time offer for 50% off your first annual subscription of Qlik Sense Business (month-to-month subscriptions will not be available). Be sure to follow the instructions in that email to ensure you receive the discount.

Once you sign up for a Qlik Sense Business subscription, you will also have access to both Qlik Sense Cloud Business and Qlik Sense Basic through December 15, 2019 to ensure ample time to smoothly transition your content and users.

Hi @Michael_Tarallo

@QlikUpdate

I'm starting to have huge issues with QSB. It remind me now of the early days of QSCB.

Like this. Things were working so well until about 5 days back

https://community.qlik.com/t5/New-to-Qlik-Sense/QSB-GET-v1-quotas-app-mem-size-failed-with-status-co...

And I tried to ring support but no reply. And no indication of how long to wait. Just we will answer your call soon. I waited 1 hour and then gave up. This is so poor. Most answer quickly or say it will be 25 minute so whatever

And I can't login to the support portal. I try but it just goes around in a loop. So I log a call anyway but then get a reply by email but can't view my support call as I can't login

And now I can no longer send a support email as I could once

Unsure if you can do anything but this is not good.

Thanks

Hello @Michael_Tarallo

Thanks for your clear answer. But I’m afraid I did not receive any communication saying that we had to migrate to Cloud sense Business. I did not get one single email to let me know about this. And apparently there are many other people on this forum saying that they did not receive any communication either.

I would like to formerly ask Qlik on behalf of all those that lost their work to find a way to retrieve our work. I’m sure the older version is still in some server.

If we have to redo all of our work from scratch it would be very bad for Qlik’s image. I’m sure many consultants, Qlick's partners and our clients may start looking for some other options. For example, Microsoft’s BI has a plan for $10 dollar a month. So is it worth it for all of us to redo our work from scratch, knowing Qlik has deceived us and knowing there are other options? I’m not so sure, we might, we might not.

Please escalate the issue and let top management know what happened and how the community is feeling about it.  Maybe they will reconsider finding a solution?

Thanks for your help,
Best,
Gus

Hello, I have a problem with my subscription, tried contacting support and still no answer.

Also sometimes when I try to log on my qlik hub, I enter my password and get redirected to the login page again.

Tried everything, changing browser, clearing cache, another device, still no solution.

Has anybody experienced this?

With the new Qlik Sense Cloud Business, when you invite users and allocate licenses, they get the same portal and can also create apps for themselves and that is not what I want. I would like them to only have access to view apps I share them and not have an option to create apps or upload apps because it affects negatively me as a developer if they can create their own apps which takes way my job.

How can I set the portal that they only get access to apps to read only.

Thank you

Hi @Vincent24

I don't believe you can stop this. As long as they have access to the Data they can develop Apps if they have the time, ability, knowledge and interest (often not the case)

But you can restrict access to Data within QSB. And Apps that you create to View only.

@Vincent24 ,

@robert99 is correct. For full control to lock down apps you would need the full governance capabilities of Qlik Sense Enterprise.

Hello @Michael_Tarallo ,

Unfortunately, today I noticed that the cloud platform is gone! Last week it was still working and that's why no one noticed..
All emails regarding the warning to migrate have entered in the Promotions part, and the person who administered the email did not see them.
Please, I need help to recover at least a few files from the previous platform. It was a lot of work and I didn't have a backup. Please!!

Thank you!
