which is the better way to load GIS Tabels to qlikview?

Hello ,

we are using Qlikview and Geoanalytics.

For GeoAnalytics , we are using 7 tables from Oracle DB.( they contain GIS data)

these tables are used in different dashboards.

in your opinion, which is the bellow solution would be better and what is the reason for selecting it?

  1. loading data from them and save 'staging' (QVD File)in shared folder in order to use them for all application
  2. loading data for each application sepratlly and save 'staging'(QVD Files) for each application sepratlly?

Thank you in advance for  your comments.

Regards,

Matsa

If it's shared GIS data, it makes sense to share the QVDs between the apps.

Better to load the data from the DB once and reuse instead of loading the same data 7 times.

That is, is the reload periodicity is the same for all apps and the GIS source data is not changing more often.

If one of the apps have higher demands on reload, then it's better to load that one separately.

Thanks,

Patric
