which AD group qlik sense support  security group AD or distribution list group AD or both which is best one to follow to send an email alerts in future

distribution list  group also work as the same then why security group ...and which is applicable qlik sense

So choose accordinlgy as per your requirement.

if you want to just send emails without any authentication or security rules - use distribution list.

if you want to send emails and also apply some security rules then go for - AD security grp
