Hi Everyone,
I'm new to Qlik, and I'm trying to implement a scenario comparison web page to allow different visuals displayed on the same page and let the user to interact with each portion of data separately. From Qlik's documentation, I found that adding a new alternate state to the app and assigning the state to objects might do the job. However, when I tried to update the "qStateName" property of my "qHyperCubeDef" through ApplyPatches method, it looked to me that the changes were not committed to the server. When I call getObjectProperties method through the App API, the properties are still the same.
I may be missing something very obvious in the documentation, but I have been stuck here for a while. Any suggestion would be really appreciated! Thank you very much in advance
Best,
Yanqi
Hi,
Not so obvious, but getProperties does not include changes by ApplyPatches, called soft properties,
Check out GetEffectiveProperties instead:
