How does the table.exportData() function work

Hi everyone,

I am trying to get an understanding of the exportData function of Qlik Sense.

What I am especially interested in is:

- how is the file generated?

- is it possible to add custom rows or columns pre- or post generation of the csv/ ooxml file?

I am glad for any input on this.
