Hi,
I came across this issue when trying to use the share/embedd function on a canvas. Depending on where you hover over the canvas only that particular content will be included when sharing. To share the entire canvas, with all content, you need to hover on a "blank" part of the canvas when selecting the share/embedd option from the drop-down menue. If the canvas is 100% full of content you can not share the entire canvas, only individual objects. This is true even if you your canvas is a master item.
Is this by design or am I doing something wrong here?

Hey @peterstalberg when you right click on a container, you have the option to select container, or the visualization within the container like below:
Sharing a container will open the Qlik app and the Qlik sheet where we have our container, and highlight the container with the active tab you had at the moment of sharing.
When you embed a Container, we reccomend to re create the container using your web app and embedding single visualizations. Out-of-the-box, if you are not embedding an entire app or sheet, right click context menu (export, full screen, share, etc..) is not available when embedding.
Hey @peterstalberg not clear how to reproduce the issue. Could you please provide screenshots or a short video?
What do you mean by canvas? The Qlik sheet where you can drag and drop Qlik charts?
Hi Alex,
Sorry for my tardy reply and apologize for not being clear in my initial post. Hera are some more details which I hope will clarify.
When you use the share/embed function for a Layout Container (canvas), even if the container is a master item, you must use the 3-dot menu in the upper right corner to get the full container. If you instead use the right-click option elsewhere on the container you will only get the actual component you clicked.
Imaging a web developer embedding charts from Qlik. He has no knowledge if these are layout containers or standalone charts. If he uses the right-click option on a layout container to access the share/embed menu any future updates of the Layout Container will not be reflected, only the specific component he happened to right-click will be embedded.
My suggestion is that you flatten objects and disable the share/embed context menu for all individual objects within a layout container. Rgds/Peter
