Importing ZIP with multiple extensions into Qlik Cloud

Hello,

I have encountered this behavior difference between Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows and Qlik Cloud.

When I import a ZIP file with multiple visualization extensions (multiple QEXTs) into Qlik Sense Enterprise, all extensions are imported. When I do the same in Qlik Cloud, only one contained extension is imported, others are ignored.

The bundling of multiple extensions into one ZIP file would be very helpful for simplifying extension deployment.

I believe the Qlik Cloud behavior is a bug. The Import extension dialog should either import all extensions from the ZIP file (preferred), or reject a ZIP file containing more extensions (at least well-defined), not ignore them silently (unexpected).

Hi @tomas_janco , meanwhile someone from our R&D can jump on this, I suggest to open a support ticket about this issue.

Hello @tomas_janco

This has actually already been reported to Qlik R&D three years ago (PM-8104) however at the time, it was decided that the possibility to import multiple extensions at once in Qlik Cloud would not be implemented due to low priority.

I would suggest you log a feature request in the ideation section in Qlik Community. If the demand is high enough, R&D might reconsider their decision.

Meanwhile as a workaround, you could probably use the Qlik Cloud API to automate importing several extensions without manual work.

Best regards,
