Integrating extensions on Qliksense

Hi Everyone,

I am currently evaluating my options to looks at the pros and cons of shifting to QlikSense Cloud services for a client.

I wanted to confirm if we could integrate mashups and extensions on Qliksense cloud? From the limited research that I have done ( I am new to QlikSense), it looks like integrating mashups/extensions on Qlik Cloud is not possible. Can someone confirm this?

If yes, how do I achieve it?

Thanks

Hello,

With the Feb 2020 release 3rd party visualization extensions are now able to be uploaded and used in SaaS editions of Qlik Sense.

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Admin/mc-extensions.htm

Mashup is already supported through web-integration

Try it out!

Hello all,

I try to use the new features "extensions" in QS Business.

* I selected the file zip to import from QS Branch Garden.

* I downloaded the zip file on my PC

* I import it in QS Business "add extension"

==> I receive this error : "Archive contains a file that cannot be processed: QEXT file"

I have seen the process and it is asked to add the "zipped file". Can anyone help please?

Regards,

Mohamed.

It seems like the QEXT file is broken or contains unsupported content. Which visualization extension are your trying to import?

Dear,

I try to import "Help Text Popup" extension. I find it useful because I would like users to understand easily the meaning of visualizations. This pop-up fits at the moment.

This particular extension has not been tested for QCS and might not be working as expected. Please take a look at the
QCS TESTED property to see if the extension has been evaluated.

In this case it seems like the extension has a couple of unsupported characters in the QEXT file. If you remove the line feeds in the description property, it can be imported.

As I have seen now,  your are right, it has not been QCS tested. But this is the case of most extensions I have seen as well.

So I understand I need to remove unsupported characters => Which one it might be? I tried by removing the space removals but without success....

QEXT format => I open the file in Notepad and save it in QEXT afterwards.

Regards,

Mohamed.

Removing the line feeds (newlines) in the description field will remove the unsupported characters.

Dear,

Thank you for your support. I finally managed this. I removed most of the "description" text and vaildated in json format. When validated, I managed to load it in QS Business :))))))))
