Know how many times variables are used in application

Hello,

I search a extension for QlikSense Saas Cloud because I want to know how many time, variables are used in my applications.

For exemple : in few applications, I have a lot of variables, but some have been created for test and never used after.

I want to delete this variables.

Existing a QVF for this ?

I have already QFV like "Access Evaluator" for access, "Entitlement Analyzer" for consumption...

Thanks for help.

Hello @Camille35 - the following documentation covers the available API calls that support listing/working with variables:

Getting Started with the Variables APIhttps://qlik.dev/embed/control-the-experience/working-with-data/qlik-variable-interface

Here is another thread on Qlik Community that covers this topic as well: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Integration-Extension-APIs/How-to-extract-variable-list-from-a-Qlik-Se...

Hello,

Thanks @Jason_Dyer  for your response. I'm not sure that it's what I'm search.

Maybe, the good appelation, it's "Know how many times MEASURES are used in application".

Thanks

Hi @Camille35

If you're referring to the usage of master items (dimensions, measures, visualisations) then do consider the following limitation - in Qlik Cloud, you can only see public content in apps. E.g. if another user has created visualisations using that master item but it's not published, then you will not be able to see that information, today.

The easiest way at the moment is to use third party tools (e.g. https://community.qlik.com/t5/App-Development/Is-there-a-way-to-see-what-Master-Items-are-being-used...) to map out your Qlik apps and discover which assets are used and where.
