Qlik Sense Server - Bootstrap Mashup Printing

Hi all,

Just wanted to start a discussion that is not directly related to Qlik Sense but rather to the printing of Qlik charts embedded in a CSS3 bootstrap mashup - i.e. more towards web design.

Do the gurus/experts have any hints or tricks to make a bootstrap mashup easily printable without spending a lot of time on CSS?

Hi Joel,

     Can you give us more details on what you are trying to achieve?

By more details I mean:

- what Qlik Sense version are you using

- more details about your mashup (maybe code sample)

- what types of objects do you have in that mashup

Hi Aiham,

I am using Qlik Sense Server 2.1.

Attached is an pdf example of a mashup where I have appended two native Qlik Sense bar charts.  When viewing within a browser, the charts and labels are very crisp but once printed (either to PDF or to paper), the text and graphic becomes significantly degraded.

Just wanted to know if there were any tips in avoiding this image quality degradation.

Sorry for my late reply,

It seems like canvas rendered fonts are not print friendly.

There is not much we can do about it.

Try it by visiting http://www.w3schools.com/tags/canvas_font.asp and print the page, you will see the same issue.

Thanks for the reply.  That is unfortunate as we still do not live in a paper-less world
