Qlik Sense Video Player and Microsoft Stream

At our organisation we record videos using Microsoft Stream within Office 365. Videos are accessed via URL in form https://web.microsoftstream.com/video/<videoid>

and are in teh WEBM format.

I would like to be able to play these from within Qlik Sense using the Video Player bundled extension. However, when I enter the URL I get 'Media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported'

If on the other hand I download the video and upload to a content folder on our QS server and point to the relate URL here it works fine.

is there a way to play from the cloud-stored MSStream video directly? Is it an authentication issue ?

It may be due to the limitations with WEBM format, as mentioned in limitation section below-
