Rest API over private network

Hi all,

Could be a slightly silly question but I've recently been experimenting with pulling data into Qliksense from publicly available Open APIs. I'm still getting to grips with the API functionality but wanted to check if there are any limitations/additional requirements if an API is set up within the organisation and intended to be accessed over a private network?

We have set up analytical connections over a private network previously and this involved some work but I wanted to check if the API style syntax requires any adjustment as I couldn't find anything in the standard documentation/forum posts.

Hello @David_HealthDS 

It would depend of the infrastructure/network in place between the Qlik Sense server and the API server you're trying to connect to.

One common problem is the set up of the proxy server to access the API server if any
