Upcoming changes for OAuth auth and Capability API - Starting February 2026

As part of routine updates to our interfaces, we will make some changes to the technology used to provide OAuth auth for the Capability API, on or after 3nd February 2026.

Customers using OAuth2 to auth their Capability API based solutions in Qlik Cloud should be aware of this change. It does not apply to Qlik Sense Enterprise client-managed, where there is no OAuth support.

The change is swapping out one framework for a newer one, and we do not anticipate any customer impact, nor a need to update any implementations, but given the complexity of some customer Capability API implementations we are providing this notification out of an abundance of caution.

Any customers who wish to test their implementation prior to our rollout starting can ping me directly using PM in community.

Hi,

We have about 6 QlikCloud customers reporting API keys as expired, even they have not.

What can we do to assist

@SivenM2020 if it's related to API keys I believe it's more likely to be caused by https://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/Qlik-Cloud-Removing-the-deprecated-Developer...

Hi Dave, 

We already have this in-place, Our issues only started this morning.

Our API keys all show active in the console, but Data Transfer and Gateway, they shows as invalid/expired.

6 customer all have the same issue from this morning. This is the only article I could find that's related.

If you don't already have a support case, please open one. I don't believe this is related to this post but with details about your tenants & some timestamps we can investigate.
