NPrinting Error - Member Not Found Error - dsoframer.ocx fix

Symptoms and description of the issue:

• Attempts to access any NPrinting MS Office template editor results in the error  "Member not found".
• Issue – Invalid registry key points to a nonexistent or incorrect file and file path. 

Environment:

• NPrinting 16.x Track (no longer supported)

Detailed Description:

• Dsoframer.ocx is installed by a different program to c:\dsoframer\dsoframer.ocx
• When the NPrinting installer finds the dsoframer.ocx in a different folder, the NPrinting installer fails to load the dsoframer.ocx file to the correct NPrinting folder installation path.

Cause:

• Dsoframer.ocx is installed by a different program to c:\dsoframer\dsoframer.ocx
• When the NPrinting installer finds the dsoframer.ocx in a different folder, the NPrinting installer fails to load the dsoframer.ocx file to the correct NPrinting folder installation path.
• The dsoframer.ocx file and folder path must be re-registered with regsvr32 to set the correct file and folder path

Solution:

The dsoframer.ocx file and folder path must be registered with regsvr32 to set the correct file and folder path.

Steps to resolve:

• Run the command prompt as administrator
• regsvr32 /u "<NPrinting Installation directory>\Engine\dsoframer.ocx"
• A message that the assembly has been successfully uninstalled should appear
• regsvr32 "<NPrinting Installation directory>\Engine\dsoframer.ocx"
• A message that the assembly has been successfully installed should appear
• Open and preview your report in the NPrinting Designer
