The following reporting formats are available with Qlik NPrinting for either QlikView or Qlik Sense Data:
- HTML
- PDF
- TIFF
- XLS
- XLSM
- XLSX
But what about CSV, SKV, or TAB files?
Environment:
Resolution:
Qlik NPrinting can export QlikView and Qlik Sense data to CSV (comma-separated values), SKV (semicolon separated values) or TAB (tab-separated values) files.
- To use this feature create a QlikEntity report with the object needing to be exported. Currently, this is the only report type that can be exported as CSV, SKV or TAB.
- Create a Publish task and add the report. Set the output format between CSV, SKV or TAB.
- The task will generate the report in CSV format.
Notice that the separator used by NPrinting to generate the reports depends on the regional settings on the Engine server. The output format may look incorrect if the file is opened with Excel on a machine with a different separator in the regional settings.
Not all the objects are suited to be exported in CSV format because of their specific structure. This limitation affects, for example, pivot tables. A simple workaround is to recreate the object as a table in Qlik Sense\QlikView (straight table) and export this.
