How To Import Active Directory users and groups into NPrinting.
Environment
- June 2019 and later versions of NPrinting
Solution
It is essential to work with your Active Directory and or LDAP administrator to ensure:
- NPrinting LDAP import settings are perfectly accurate for your AD/LDAP environment.
- For example for the 'User' property setting of the NP LDAP import, your organization might use 'user' rather than 'inetorgperson'. These settings are dependent on each unique LDAP environment and must be configured in the NPrinting LDAP import settings accordingly.
- It is only possible to import domain users, emails and groups (NP roles and or NP Groups). If you require filters associated with each user, you will need to follow and link the NPrinting Recipient import process with your LDAP import. See link in "Related Content" section below
Once your combined Recipient file and LDAP user/group import is complete and successful, you may log into NPrinting using the Blue windows authentication button on the NPrinting Web Console or NewsStand login page.
