Duplicated app data are not the same

Hello,

I replicate an app from a stream to work.

I did that using either qlik sense hub functionality (right click on the app, Duplicate) or from qmc console.

For both, the result is the same: Data in replicated app is different from the original.

Does it make sense? Is this the normal behavior?

We have May 2022 version...

NOTE: I can see that when I open a sheet (the same sheet of course because the app is duplicated)

Thank you,

Nikos

Hi, it's not the normal behavior. Has the app some section acces applied?... still for the same user it should see the same.

I would try to reduce it to a orw level, filter date unitl you get a single row of data in any table that appears when published and disappears from the duplicated app. Maybe following the relatins of this single row it's easier to get some hints on what data is missing and why

Hello @nskatzis ,

Thanks for posting.

Can you reproduce this constantly? or is only notice on some/few apps or even a single one?  If you create a dummy simple app would also happen.

As mentioned by @rubenmarin this is not a normal behaviour.

Kindly, let us know.

Cheers,

Albert

Hello,

I noticed that it happens when I duplicate an app (actually I have seen that in a sheet from the app) which has created with an old version (Nov 17).

You can find more details in the attached doc.

Probably it is happening due to section access code in script.

Hello @nskatzis,

yes, it seems it could be related to section access as @rohitk1609 has mentioned.

Does the app contain section access and data reduction?

Cheers,

Albert

Hi @nskatzis

In addition to what was already suggested, when you compare the apps, is that at the moment when the app was duplicated or was it some days later?

If you are comparing the apps some days later, could you verify if the published app was reloaded lately ? it could just be that the published app was reloaded and not the one in your Work stream.

Hope it helps.

@nskatzis

Could you provide more details about what is different? Number of records or visualizations ? Calculations?

Thank you !
