Qlik Sense Enterprise connection issues via VPN connection to server
In the beneficiary's infrastructure, some clients must connect to vpn through the browser.
I received the following email from the client: SERVER is NETBIOS Name and can be accessed only from the internal network, from VPN you can access it most securely directly with IP.
It seems that users who connect via VPN do not recognize the SERVER address (I pinged SERVER from cmd being connected to VPN). From what we've seen, DNS doesn't seem to transfer the IP address.
If the connection is made with the IP (https: // IPAdress / hub) I get the error: '400 Bad Request The http request header is incorrect' and if the connection is made with the server name, the page is not found.
One solution I've tried but doesn't seem to solve is the allocation of 80 and 443 inbound ports for the firewall.

Hi @CristinaBalan
You should talk with your VPN admins and make sure that internal hostnames are currently published by the DNS servers used by the VPN.
We don't recommend using IP addresses, because it's usually not a good practice to assign certificates to IP addresses, and you would end up with a broken https setup.
So, make sure to have the DNS fixed.
An alternative, if using computers, is to add the hostname-to-IP resolution to the host files on the client machines: this will need to be done on any PC that will need to connect via the VPN.
It might not be possible to do that on smartphones or tablets, though.
Cheers!

If the client doesn't agree with this solution, can we define the ip address in the proxy?
