Qlikview Desktop Client & Qlik Sense Server

A client of mine has running a QlikView server and a Qlik Sense server.

The QV server is basically still running for 1 heavily customized app (lots of variable input that is used to limit data when triggering a reload from the front end).
My client wants to shutdown the QV server asap, as the Windows Server it is running, is outdated.

The client has dual licenses, so I was wondering the following:

Can they run a QlikView Desktop Client and lease a license from the Qlik Sense server through "Open in server", if they have professional or analyzer access assigned in the Qlik Sense QMC?

Hello TPoismans.

For me. This is not possible because the QV Desktop uses the QVP protocol to connect to QV Server, and QS does not recognize this protocol.

Regards,

Marco

I confirm what @makunii said. It's not possible to lease a QlikView license from a Qlik Sense Enterprise for Windows server.
