Qlikview / Qlik Sense REST connector and TLS 1.3

I wonder if there is a limitation in the REST connector for Qlikview and the built-in REST connector for Qlik Sense? It doesn't seem to work with REST APIs only accepting TLS 1.3 connections.

So far, I have tested the latest available Qlik RestConnector from April 2023 with Qlikview. I have also tested Qlik Sense November 2024. Both results in the following error message when calling the API:

"The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel"

In my case, the API provider switched to only support TLS 1.3 in December 2024. Before, everything worked fine with the RESTConnector April 2023 version.

I have seen other community posts in this topic but they seem mostly be QS/QV server platform related and not related to REST connector.  I have tried anyway, the suggestions to set Registry keys in Windows enabling and disabling TLS versions, with no positive result. I have also tried using the tool "IISCrypto" to set TLS and Ciphers with the "Best practise" options, also with no positive results.

Is the Qlik REST Connector hard coded to use TLS 1.2 or lower? Is it possible to get this working with TLS 1.3 somehow?

If this is not possible at the moment, is there a roadmap for when support for REST and TLS 1.3 will be added?

Thanks in advance!

//Marcus

@exsitec_MarcusN unfortunately 1.3 is still not supported, I don't have a roadmap or anything for it 😞  You can subscribe to the support updates blog for more information.

I can see that R&D is currently working on it, but don't see a timeline yet unfortunately.
