Good day,
I have recently setup a QlikSense RIM node via our domain service account.
Issue i am now facing is that i cannot find any documentation on how to point the reload tasks for a specific app to always run off and use resources on our RIM node.
We are currently on May 2024 , Patch 7.
Could someone please guide me on directing all reload tasks for 1 app/apps in a stream to reload off the RIM node.
Best Regards,
Warren
Scheduler is enabled on RIM node and set to Worker.
Hello @Warren10,
I believe the Qlik Admin Playbook has helpful information for your question. Have a look at the Review Pinning/Load Balancing entry.
Best Regards
Good day,
I managed to get app user sessions running off the node as per the attached documentation.
However, I am still struggling to get reload tasks to run off the Rim node.
Is there perhaps any information for this?
Hi @Warren10
i have done it but first a couple of question
1. how many nodes you have ?
if you only have two nodes you can achive by configuring one node as manager and the other as worker
if you have more than two, you can disable scheduler service in some nodes (not in central and failover)
2. all reloads or some reloads to specific node ?
in the following example im using nodes as follows (but i think this one is more complex)
Central: only manage, it doesnt execute tasks or manages useres session
Consumer: only for users sessions
standar task: some nodes that only executes reloads and not sessions
Dedicated Small Tasks: specific node to "near real time" app that only executes small partial reload during the day
with this custom property
assinging to nodes (consumer nodes has the schedules service deactivated)
also assingning to apps i want to reload on specific node
and implementing the following load balancing rules
this one makes all app available in all consumer servers (users access)
this one executes the reload on the same engine the app has in the custom properties
this one avoid the "near real time" to be executed in any other reload node
Also you will need to disable and standar load balancing rule (ResourcesOnNonCentralNodes)
I think this is more complex than you actually need, but hopefully it will serve as a guide.
