Hi Everyone,
We have two scheduler nodes (S.Node 1 and S.Node2). Due to security reasons, we are trying to trigger couple of batch files in command prompt in S.Node1 only. But Qlik sometimes assign the S.Node2 directly due to which the batch files are failing. Currently we are simply trying to pass local path of the batch file in the "Path Section".
It would be great if you can tell how we can acheive load balancing in this case? Or do we have to tweak the parameters in the External Program tasks.
Regards,
Hello,
We're facing the same problem. Have you found a solution for load balancing external tasks?
Best regards,
Enora
Same issue here,
I have dedicated nodes for load balancing, I tried to add to the custom property the "External program tasks" and also to the load balancing roles this value ExternalProgramTask_*
flagged the external program but it doesn't work,
see the attached screenshots.
Ido.
Same issue here.
same issue for me.
I have openened a case at Qlik about this problem, but for now no solution. I hope, that they will find a solution for that problem.
Hello,
Qlik support could't help with this problem. There is a request suggestion about this problem in the ideation platform. Could you vote there please to push up this topic?

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the delayed reply. We are still unable to use the QMC external task feature. But as a workaorund, we have are using and executing the external commands from Qlik sense app script by load balancing the Qlik app.

Arockiya.
Hi Arockiya,
In this case you should switch to legacy mode and the execute tie batch file via the EXECUTE command, right?

Rumen
Hi Rumen,
Not in a legacy mode. But using EXECUTE command in the Qlik app script.

Arockiya.
