Section Access
Hi
I am new to Qlik and want to know more about section access. I am tasked with writing a section access code which is suppose to provide reduction on two fields. When i use blank for GROUPS and later check the testing sheet i dont get correct values i the filter. However, if i use * , then it seems to work. What is the difference between using blank and *.

Using an asterisk (*) ensures that users can access all data related to the field, while using a blank value can restrict users from seeing any data for that field.

Thanks. And this is what i thought too. However, when i do keep it blank, i can still see some of the fields. I am not sure how. Is there any catch here or some condition in the way blanks work in section access.
Also, if you have a good resource i can learn in depth about section access, please point me to that.
Many thanks in advance 🙂
