Will it create any problems in Access point & Server , if changes done in Desktop version which is 12 and QMC in the 11.20

Currently we are using Qlik view Server and Qlikview Desktop which is in 11.20 Version . We need to achieve aggregate with sort function which is not available in Qlikview Desktop 11.20 . After Upgrading the qlikview desktop to latest version (12.) and achieving the aggregate with sort function .Any changes with aggregate with sort function done in desktop version , will it reflect in the Qlik view server which will be running the old version or will it create any problems in the Access point while accessing as it will be running the old version ie . 11.20 version ?
We've been running QV 11.20 SR5 with Qlikview Desktop 12.10 SR7 for a while now and have not seen any issues. Everything shows up correctly in the Access Point and there are no issues with .meta or .shared.
