In a Shared Persistence architecture, which is the only configuration possible on Qlik Sense June 2017 or higher, it is not possible to selectively install services as it was before in a Synchronized Persistence architecture. This does not mean that you must activate all services when adding a RIM node into an environment. You can still toggle select services which correspond to the roles which you want the node to fulfill.
