Hi,
I am new to saas and have migrated my first application from the Application Custom properties Tag added to migrate to SAAS.
When the app appears the user is Unknown and i am unable to edit the app like i would if i created in SAAS. I cannot copy sheets or use the edit script.
Is there a way to change ownership of an application with Unknown User so it is editable?
In the Content section of Saas in the Apps tab, i can only see the APP in the Staged area and not source.
Any help would be much appreciated as i have to move all applications in the next month and do not want to have to copy the Sheets, I would just like to amend the script to load from SFTP.
Thanks in advance.
Daniel
I have found that rather than moving the applications via a custom property, i have just exported the application via QMC and imported to the saas environment, this gives me the permissions required.
Thank you for taking the time to reply.
Hi,
You'll need to assign the app to a Managed Space (the blue one).

Kind regards
Not completely understood. Few doubts
1: how you upload app from onprem to cloud?
2: does someone else upload it on behalf you?
3: does your app have section access?
4: which licence & roles do you have on cloud
Sol: ask tenant admin to change the owner of app.

Its because the app its in Stage, it has to be sent to a manager space after that the app will be to published, once go to published you can edit, if get a copy of the app to you, on the stage you can't do nothing, even access the app

I have exactly the same problem. Some apps on OnPrem have this custom property to automatically upload them to Qlik Cloud. This works fine and the apps appear in the "Stage space". From there I move them to a managed space, but they still have "unknown user" as owner. I'm tenant admin and I'm unable to assign this app to myself or anyone else. And I can't move it to a shared space either or duplicate it to personal space. So it remains non-editable.
The only solution I've found is the one mentioned by @Daniel77 . Export the app manually in QMC and then import the app manually in Qlik Cloud (to shared space).
We have hundreds of apps that we want to migrate to Qlik Cloud in the near future and doing this manually will be a pain in the a$$.
So is there some other way of assigning these ownerless apps an owner?
